Nöger

Udo Nöger creates luminous, monochrome paintings - shaping light, movement and luminosity in highly minimalistic compositions.

Nöger, was born in post-World War II Germany, in Enger, a small town of Westphalia. He emigrated to the U.S. in 1990 on a scholarship. In his early career, he was known for expressive figurative paintings exploring the dimensionality of color. His current canvases appear to be illuminated from within.
